Introducing our next Generation of Heroes!
As an expansion of my Fairy tale series, I would like to welcome our Heroes to the bunch! With this series I focused on strong lighting, I am able to emulate the sun's position based off my stock background images. Here are just a few of the Studio shots I took!
Madaline Hatter "Ever after High"
"GO HAWKS"
Heat Wave "Transformers"
Batman
Ray "Star Wars: The force awakens"
This June I will be waving goodbye to the warm sun and sandy beaches of San Diego. Moving is never easy, but I look forward to our next chapter in the Midwest. Since the weather is very different in Indiana I am going to need the studio alternative for my Believe series.
Here are a couple finished results!
A Week in Paradise
As a photographer I couldn't resist documenting as much as I could, capturing the beauty of the Mexican Riviera. While aboard the Carnival Miracle I can honestly say I had an amazing time. Not only celebrating 10 years of Marriage with my husband, but experiencing places I had never been. Surprisingly enough, after living in the southwest for a huge portion of my life I had never truly visited Mexico! Out of the three ports I was able to go ATVing in Cabo San Lucas, drink Margaritas in Mazatlan and my favorite was exploring hidden beaches and villages in Puerto Vallarta.
"Out to sea" Long beach, CA
Cobo San Lucas
Mazetlan
Puerto Vellarta
My favorite of the three would be, hands down, Puerto Vallarta. Maybe because it was further south and much warmer that time of year or that we chose a great excursion to go on. The hidden beaches excursion provided snorkeling, whale watching, and we were able to immerse ourselves in the culture a bit by visiting a small village that required boats to get in and out of. I fell in love with the little kids who sold seashells they would find on the beach. From the village we rode horses to a hidden waterfall where a man they called Nacho put on a great show doing some cliff diving. The water felt like it came straight off the glacier! I went in for maybe a millisecond, because I knew I would have regretted it if I didn’t. “You only live once, Right?”
Now the entire trip didn’t revolve around the port stops. Carnival provided us with a fun and memorable experience. As a Theater buff I enjoyed the performances held in the Theater. Winning a little bit and spending more in the casino. Getting a bit tipsy off their signature cucumber sunrise and attending art auctions. NOTE TO SELF….. Don’t drink and attend art auctions where they sell Disney art. Let’s just say I went home with 4 pieces of art…oops!
With Themed nights and meeting new friends, Carnival held themselves to the party boat standards that they pride themselves on. Now I’m ready for another cruise!
Welcome Home Senior Chief!

"Surprise On The Beach"
Mission Bay Beach was beautifully lit for a warm July evening. This end of the day surprise brought this couple a happy ending to an awesome vacation!
The best thing about being a milestone photographer, is having the opportunity to capture happy moments in people's lives!
What seemed like a traditional end to a vacation on Mission Beach for Casey and Ashley. This time it was different. Casey had contacted me, asking if I could document his proposal to his beautiful girlfriend Ashley. The challenge for me was to stay hidden, because she had no idea.
As someone who has seen lots of sunsets, San Diego did not let Casey down. The pinkish-orange sky and large teal waves, really set the mood. As he waited for the right moment I had pretended to be one of the many landscape photographers who photograph sunsets on the beach. While feeling a bit like a paparazzi, every time Ashley had looked in my direction I quickly pointed my camera towards the ocean.Soon enough Casey reached in his pocket, Stood up giving Ashley his hand. After a quick embrace, he got down on one knee and popped the question. Behind me. towards the boardwalk, you hear Cheering from the family for the happy couple.
I'm not gonna lie. I shed a happy tear or two in the moment. Congratulations to the this happy couple! May your lives be filled with love and happiness for years to come!
